In Bangladesh, we started our operations in Dhaka in 1972, and since then we have expanded our activities from here to Rajshahi, Khulna, Bagerhat, Chattogram, Bogura, Kurigram, Gazipur and Sylhet. Our Programmes contribute to delivering on SDGs with a special focus on our target group to improve national social protection system, fighting inequalities, promoting access to quality education, strengthening youth employability and ending violence against children. SOS Bangladesh is seeking competent candidates for the smooth operation of the following positions. • Project Name: STEP Project • Project Type: Partnership Project in Partnership with IDEA, Sylhet • Location of job: STEP Project location, Golapganj, Sylhet • Nature of Job: Multi years Project, Fixed Term Contract for One year (Yearly renewable based on performance) Mission of the Position: The Programme Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership, technical oversight, and overall management of the STEP Project to ensure effective, timely, and high-quality implementation of project interventions. The position leads project planning, partnership management, organizational capacity strengthening, livelihood programming, disaster risk reduction (DRR), child protection, safeguarding, financial oversight, donor compliance, monitoring, and stakeholder engagement while ensuring project objectives and sustainability. Main Clients: • SOS Children`s Villages Bangladesh • Local implementing partner • Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) • Community Own Resource Persons (CORPs) • Government ministries and local government institutions • Donors and funding partners • Community leaders and project beneficiaries • Technical consultants and resource people • Project staff Key performance areas and main responsibilities: Programme Leadership and Management • Provide overall strategic leadership and management of the STEP Project in accordance with approved project documents, donor requirements, organizational policies, and national regulations. • Lead the planning, implementation, monitoring, and timely delivery of all project activities and outputs. • Develop and oversee annual work plans, implementation schedules, procurement plans, risk registers, and project budgets. • Ensure integration and coordination of all project components, including organizational capacity strengthening, livelihoods, disaster risk reduction, and child protection. • Ensure project implementation remains adaptive, evidence-based, and responsive to community needs. Technical Quality Assurance • Provide technical guidance to ensure quality implementation of project interventions. • Lead organizational capacity strengthening initiatives for Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), Community Own Resource Persons (CORPs), and local partners. • Ensure quality implementation of livelihood, entrepreneurship, VSLA, climate resilience, DRR, child protection, safeguarding, and community development activities. • Promote innovation, learning, and continuous quality improvement throughout project implementation. • Ensure safeguarding, child protection, gender equality, disability inclusion, and accountability are mainstreamed across all interventions. Partnership Management • Manage relationships with the implementing partner and ensure compliance with partnership agreements. • Support partner capacity strengthening through coaching, mentoring, technical assistance, and regular performance reviews. • Facilitate regular coordination meetings with project partners and communit
