SOS Children’s Village International is probably the largest private child welfare humanitarian organization working more than 130 countries and territories in the world. In Bangladesh, we started our operations in Dhaka in 1972, and since then we have expanded our activities from here to Rajshahi, Khulna, Bagerhat, Chattogram, Bogura, Kurigram, Gazipur and Sylhet. Our Programmes contribute to delivering on SDGs with a special focus on our target group to improve national social protection system, fighting inequalities, promoting access to quality education, strengthening youth employability and ending violence against children. SOS Bangladesh is seeking competent candidates for the smooth operation of the following positions. • Project Name: STEP Project • Project Type: Partnership Project in Partnership with IDEA, Sylhet • Location of job: STEP Project location, Golapganj, Sylhet • Nature of Job: Multi years Project, Fixed Term Contract for One year (Yearly renewable based on performance) Mission of the Position: Main Clients: • Vulnerable households, particularly women and youth • Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) • Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) • Community volunteers • Community Own Resource Persons (CORPs) • Local government institutions • Local entrepreneurs and market actors • Implementing partner staff • Project right holders Key performance areas and main responsibilities: Community Mobilization and Beneficiary Engagement • Support community entry processes, stakeholder mapping, and community consultations in target areas. • Assist in identifying and selecting project beneficiaries through participatory and transparent community processes. • Facilitate community meetings, orientation sessions, and awareness activities related to livelihood and economic resilience. • Ensure active participation of women, youth, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups in project interventions. • Maintain regular communication with community leaders, local government representatives, and community-based organizations. Livelihood and Economic Empowerment • Support the implementation of livelihood interventions in accordance with the approved project work plan. • Assist in conducting market and livelihood assessments and beneficiary profiling. • Support the formation, orientation, and strengthening of Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs). • Facilitate regular VSLA meetings, savings promotion, financial literacy, and income resilience sessions. • Support vocational skills development, entrepreneurship training, and business development initiatives. • Assist in identifying eligible participants for business start-up grants and income-generating activities (IGAs). • Support the establishment and monitoring of youth and women business initiatives, including Youth Business Corners (YBCs) and Women Business Corners (WBCs). • Conduct regular follow-up visits to monitor beneficiaries` livelihood progress and provide technical support where required. Coordination and Implementation • Assist the Project Officer in preparing monthly work plans, activity schedules, and budget estimates. • Coordinate field-level implementation with implementing partners, local government institutions, technical service providers, and other stakeholders. • Support the organization of training programmes, workshops, exposure visits, and community events. • Ensure timely logistical arrangements for livelihood-related activities. Monitoring, Documentation and Reporting • Collect beneficiary data and maintain updated records of project participants and livelihood activities. • Support routine monitoring of project outputs and outcomes in coordination with the ME
