Responsibilities & Context

As a Backend Engineer at Nexadev, you will be responsible for building and maintaining robust backend systems. Your key responsibilities include: - Developing REST APIs using NestJS and TypeScript. - Designing and optimizing PostgreSQL databases with Prisma ORM. - Implementing multi-tenant architecture and role-based access control (RBAC). - Building queues, background jobs, and event-driven workflows. - Integrating third-party services such as payment gateways, KYC, e-signature, SMS, and email. - Developing authentication, OAuth, MFA, and secure access systems. - Writing tests and maintaining API documentation. - Managing Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and deployments. - Monitoring and debugging production systems. - Collaborating closely with frontend and mobile developers. Required skills include Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, PostgreSQL, Prisma, REST API development, Swagger/OpenAPI, Redis, queues, background jobs, Git/GitHub, Docker, CI/CD, Linux, Nginx, and deployment knowledge. A good understanding of security and testing is essential. Bonus skills: Kafka, microservices, WebSockets, payment integrations, Kubernetes, Terraform, SaaS or fintech experience.
