Responsibilities & Context

Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites applications for the position of Technical Officer-YEC & RE for implementing the `Education and Protection for Refugee Community (EPRC) Project` funded by UNHCR, located at Cox`s Bazar District. Duration: 15 September 2026 to 31 December 2026. Job Location: Ukhiya/Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar. Key areas of responsibility: - Provide overall technical guidance and oversight for implementation of YEC and RE activities under CODEC-CBP. - Work under direct supervision of CBP Coordinator and maintain coordination with all CBP Technical Officers and field staff. - Regularly monitor implementation through field visits, observation, discussion, review of records, and follow-up. - Frequent field movements across camp areas to provide technical support, monitor quality, identify challenges, and ensure follow-up. - Provide technical guidance to relevant staff implementing YEC and RE activities. - Monitor and support Youth Environment Club activities including youth engagement, environmental awareness, clean-up, tree plantation, recycling, conservation, climate resilience. - Support formation and strengthening of youth-led environmental groups and promote community ownership. - Ensure inclusive participation of adolescents, youth, women, persons with disabilities, and other groups. - Monitor and support Religious Engagement activities through Imams, Female Religious Teachers (FRTs), and field staff. - Support coordination with Imams and FRTs and identify capacity-building needs. - Support development and implementation of orientations, training, coaching for staff and volunteers. - Provide technical coaching to integrate YEC and RE within Community-Based Protection approach. - Ensure activities promote community participation, inclusion, accountability, safeguarding, protection sensitivity. - Support community consultations and participatory activities. - Support community-based approaches for awareness raising, behavioral change, environmental sustainability, social cohesion, protection, resilience. - Maintain coordination with other CODEC-CBP components and field staff. - Coordinate with EPRC Child Protection and GBV components. - Maintain communication with CICs, Camp Protection Focal Points, UNHCR counterparts, and other focal points. - Participate in camp-level coordination meetings and communicate issues. - Organize and facilitate coordination meetings. - Identify gaps and communicate to CBP Coordinator. - Monitor availability and use of materials and resources. - Document good practices, lessons learned, challenges, achievements. - Ensure activities comply with work plans, objectives, UNHCR guidance, CODEC policies, humanitarian principles, safeguarding. - Ensure safe, respectful, inclusive, protection-sensitive conduct. - Perform any other duties assigned. - Ensure compliance with PSEAH, Child Safeguarding, CODEC Code of Conduct, etc. Reporting & Documentation: - Ensure quality, accuracy, completeness, timely submission of YEC and RE reports. - Compile, review, consolidate, analyze information. - Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, donor, UNHCR reports. - Verify reported achievements and consistency with records. - Review progress against work plans, indicators, targets. - Maintain trackers, monitoring tools, activity records. - Maintain documentation: photos, attendance, success stories, etc. - Prepare analytical updates, presentations, briefing notes, case studies. - Provide timely updates to CBP Coordinator. - Support donor and UNHCR reporting. - Ensure confidentiality and data protection. Coordination & Representation: - Maintain regular coordination with CBP Coordinator. - Coordinate with all CBP Technical Officers and field staff. - Coordinate with Imams, FRTs, volunteers. - Coordinate with EPRC Child Protection and GBV teams. - Coordinate with CICs, UNHCR counterparts, partners. - Attend meetings and represent CODEC-CBP. - Arrange coordination meetings and ensure follow-up. - Coordinate wi
